Maximize the Last Ten Minutes of your Day and Supercharge Your Life: 4 Proactive Steps
During the last few moments of our day and the first few moments of our morning, our minds are in a state of total openness. Make the most of this very precious time by feeding your brain with positive thoughts that will open you up for success.
This may be a bit challenging at first, because often we use the last few minutes of the day as our “worry time.” However, doing this puts us into a state of negativity throughout the night and then, guess what? That’s right, we wake up in a negative mood.
Remember that thoughts do impact our bodies. Nighttime is meant for restoration, but how can our bodies do this if we are subjecting them to damaging thoughts just before drifting to sleep?
If we want to be effective and successful, we need to fill our minds with positive, energizing thoughts that help us to open the door to success. Shift away from the tendency to worry or mull over things that upset you during the day. Ten minutes may seem like a small amount of time, but the last ten minutes of our day is actually so much more than that. They can reset out minds to find peace today and super-charge us for an amazing tomorrow.
Here are four proactive steps you can take to make these last ten minutes really count:
- Take three deep breaths and give yourself a chance to get comfortable. This means being in the moment and not in a meeting earlier in the day or worried about a client coming in tomorrow.
- Be grateful. Come up with at last ten things you can be thankful for right at that moment.
- Make a success declaration and repeat it in your head several times. For example, “I am a success.”
- Visualize yourself as enjoying success. Have fun with this. Don’t make it a project, but let yourself be in the state of wealth and health you want.
Now you can enjoy a great night’s sleep tonight and be ready to take on the world tomorrow!
